Plastic pollution

Plastic isn't all bad, is it?

Essentially, plastic is vital. And it can be incredibly useful. But nowadays, the big problem is single use plastics and the quantities in which they are used. A plastic bag for instance is used on average for 15 minutes, yet could take 100 – 300 years to fragment.

Let us tell you several plastic pollution facts and stats.

  • Plastic will only start degrading after 700 years and will only fully degrade in 1000 years. This means that all the plastic that has ever been produced has not degraded yet.
